March 22 - D day

The joys of spring, the lake effect snow...yes, I said snow! I think the ground hog needs to find another line or work....

Gross fact of the day:

Fried spider is a delicacy in Skuon, Cambodia. The spiders are bred in holes int he ground and then fried in oil. Some believe people started eating spiders to survive when food was in short supply during the Kmer Rouge rule. the spider has a crispy texture and soft center. Today they are a popular snack for tourists passing through town.

Curious about the Kmer Rouge - Read "Never Fall Down" by Patricia McCormick a novel  based on the life of Arn a young boy that survives the Kmer Rouge's rule.
