December 3, 2013 - A Day
Only female mosquitoes bite as they need the blood for a source of protein. After landing she uses her proboscis to stick the skin like needle to inject a fluid to keep a person's blood from coagulating or thickening. Then she sucks a drop of blood and stores it in her abdomen before flying off to lay her eggs.
