February 22, 2014

Hope everyone is enjoying their vacation! I had a relaxing week with my family and was able to READ! Two books brought me to tears and one kept me at the edge of my seat - only to find out there is a sequel!

The books that brought tears to my eyes:

The Truth That's In Me by Julie Berry - don't let the cover fool you! It looks like a horror story but it is not. It is a mix of romance, psychological thriller and mystery set in what appears to be colonial times. You will root for Judith as she finally gets her voice back.

If he had been with me by Laura Nowlin - a bitter sweet love story about two teenagers that always loved each other but weren't ready to admit it to each other or themselves....

The book that kept me at the edge of my seat:

Hollow City by Ransom Riggs the sequel to Miss Perigrine's Home for Peculiar Children take place with Jacob and the band of peculiar children on the run. The book kept me on the edge of my seat as the children begin their harrowing adventure to save their beloved Miss Perigrine.
