October 1, 2013 - C day
Most gastropods excrete a bodily secretion that is a kind of mucus. Known as snail slime, it's produced by land snails and slugs from special internal glands. This slime has qualities similar to glue and lubricant making it easier for snails to travel vertically without falling.
