December 28

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I have read two books and am currently reading book number 3 - Stolen.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell - I couldn't put this book down. It is a sweet and heartbreaking love story, set in the 1980s, about two high school students - Eleanor and Park. Definitely worth the read!

Belle Epoque by Elizabeth Ross - Set in the late 1800's in Paris France, Belle Epoque is the story of Maude. She runs away from home when her father as arranged a marriage to the butcher in town that is twice her age. Arriving in Paris, Maude is destitute and must find work. She works finds work at Durandeau Agency which hires ugly girls to be companions to the rich. The belief is the ugly girl will make the client look more attractive...Maude is hired by a countess to be the foil for her head strong daughter Isabel. Isabel does not know that Maude was hired to be her friend...what will happen when she finds out?

What are you reading this break?
