October 25 - C Day



In 2004, maggots became the first live animals approved by the US Food and Drug Administration approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a "medical device," having been proved effective in treating wounds that are having difficulty healing. Maggots have been used since ancient times to treat wounds around the world.

(I would prefer a band aid!)
