July 10, 2013 - Random Fact

Hope your summer is going well. As you can see, I have figured out how to change the background of the blog - oh, the possibilities... 


 In 1848, and explosion set a tampering iron through Phineas Gage's head. He did not even lose consciousness, but did experience severe damage to the left side of his brain. Dr. John Harlow treated him and in the process, learned a lot about the relationship between the personality and brain. Amazingly, Phineas returned to work 6 months later. (Learning Calendar, July 2)
