Flying foxes are the largest bats in the world with a wingspan up to six feet. They live mainly in the South Pacific and Australia and survive on fruit, pollen and nectar. They are named for the shape of their head, which resembles that of a fox. Flying foxes are a traditional delicacy in many cultures across the regions where they live.
