Naked mole rats are somewhat like bees. They live in colonies led by the naked mole rat queen. She is the only one to breed and give birth. Their hairless, tubular, wrinkled body and buck teeth will not win them any beauty contests. Since they live mostly in the dark, they have become virtually blind and often run around with their eyes closed.
